For customers
Discover local businesses, bundle their offers, and plan your day, evening or weekend in one transaction.
What is bundles.ie?
A way to discover local businesses and plan a day, afternoon, evening or weekend around them. You pick two or more offers from the map — a massage, a sauna, brunch — pay once, and get 10% off the whole bundle.
It's not a deals site. No flash sales, no daily deals, no coupons. The discount rewards you for planning ahead and bundling; the point is discovering great local businesses and a well-planned day.
How does the discount work?
Add two or more offers to your bundle and 10% comes off everything, automatically. One offer alone doesn't qualify — bundling is the whole idea.
Prices you see include VAT (Value Added Tax) and are verified against each business's normal retail price, so the 10% is a genuine saving, not a mark-up-then-discount.
How do I redeem my bundle?
After payment you receive a confirmation and one redemption code per offer. Each offer states its redemption path up front, before you buy:
- Walk in — just show your code, no booking needed.
- They contact you — the business calls or emails you to arrange your visit.
- Booking link — you receive a link to the business's booking calendar.
At the business, a staff member enters your code into our redemption system. Each code works exactly once.
How long is my bundle valid?
90 days from purchase, unless an offer states otherwise. If you don't redeem within 90 days, you're automatically refunded in full — no chasing, no expiry small print. Nobody gets paid until you've actually received your service.
What if I change my mind?
You're covered by EU (European Union) consumer law, including the cooling-off period for online purchases. Beyond that, if you decide the bundle was a bad idea, ask us for a refund — we handle it, not the individual businesses.
If you redeem one part of a bundle but not the other, we refund the unused part.
What if a business can't honour my offer?
You're refunded. Businesses commit to delivering everything sold on their behalf; one that can't fulfil without good cause risks being removed from the platform.
What if I book a time and don't show up?
If you booked ahead and don't show, the business has held that slot for you — so a proven no-show counts as redeemed and the business is paid. This only applies to offers you booked in advance, never to walk-in offers.
Can I gift a bundle to someone else?
Not yet. Bundles are currently tied to the purchasing account. Gifting is on the roadmap.
Do I need an account?
You'll be invited to create one at checkout. We need your first name and a valid email address at minimum — the email is where your confirmation and redemption codes arrive.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong?
Us — for anything about purchase, payment, refunds or redemption codes.
The business — for the service itself. Once you've redeemed, your relationship for that service is directly with them, as it would be for any local business.
That said, we want to hear complaints either way — it's how we keep quality up and decide who stays on the map.
For businesses
Pay-on-performance cross-promotion between complementary local businesses. No fees until a customer walks through your door.
What does it cost to be on bundles.ie?
Nothing up front. No listing fee, no subscription, no advertising, no paid priority placement — bundles.ie is not a business directory. We earn a 10% commission on the discounted bundle price, and only when the customer actually redeems with you.
Pure pay-on-performance: if we don't send you a customer, you owe us nothing.
Who funds the customer's 10% discount?
You do, on your own offer. The expected floor is 10% off each offer, which combines into the 10% bundle discount the customer sees. Our commission is then 10% of the discounted bundle amount, split across vendors pro-rata by offer value.
In exchange: customers you'd never have reached, sent to you by complementary neighbouring businesses, with zero acquisition cost until they redeem.
How does the money flow?
Nobody wins until the consumer redeems and receives their service — not you, not us. Unredeemed bundles are refunded to the customer after 90 days, commission included.
A worked example
A customer bundles your €65 massage with a neighbour's €30 sauna (both prices VAT-inclusive, both already reflecting your 10% offer discount against normal retail price):
| Massage | Sauna | Bundle | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer pays | €65.00 | €30.00 | €95.00 |
| Commission (10%, pro-rata) | −€6.50 | −€3.00 | −€9.50 |
| VAT on commission (23%)* | −€1.50 | −€0.69 | −€2.19 |
| Your payout on redemption | €57.00 | €26.31 | €83.31 |
*Illustrative at the standard Irish VAT rate. VAT on our commission is charged to you and falls due on redemption. Your own VAT obligations on the service price are unchanged — you include VAT in your listed price as normal. Confirm treatment with your accountant.
When and how do I get paid?
By bank transfer, every 14 days, for all redemptions in that cycle. We generate the invoice for you based on the redemption record — no claiming, no paperwork on your side.
What's the legal relationship?
bundles.ie acts as an agent connecting you with customers. We hold customer funds via a trusted payments provider until redemption.
Up to redemption, purchase and refund matters sit with us. After redemption, the contract for the service is between you and the customer — disputes and service refunds are handled as you would with any direct customer. We can only assist with redemption itself, though we do log complaints for quality control.
How do customers redeem at my premises?
Through our redemption app: a simple form where a member of your staff enters the customer's code. Only verified agents of your business can redeem, and the form logic prevents double redemption. No hardware, no POS (Point of Sale) integration required.
What do I commit to?
- Set your capacity — you state and cap the quantity available. We never oversell you.
- Honour what's sold — you can pause or stop an offer at any time, but everything already sold must be delivered.
- Declare the redemption path — walk-in, you contact the customer, or a booking link. Customers see this before they buy.
- Genuine pricing — we verify listed prices against normal retail using several methods we don't publish.
Failing to fulfil without good cause risks delisting, and the customer is refunded.
What about customer no-shows?
If the customer booked ahead and doesn't show, a proven no-show counts as an automatic redemption and you're paid. You held the slot; you shouldn't carry the cost.
How do I join? Is there vetting?
Onboarding is initially by application and invitation. We ask for your company number and apply internal quality gates we don't publish. Every business on the map has been vetted, registered and onboarded — that's part of the promise to customers.
Will I be competing with identical businesses?
No exclusivity is promised — but we actively balance the map across our categories. If we already have, say, several saunas, we hold off inviting more until the surrounding offer mix supports them. A map full of near-identical offers helps nobody bundle.
Is bundles.ie funded by advertising?
No. Revenue is commission on redeemed bundles only. There may be some EU or Irish government funding supporting the platform's development, but there are no adverts, no sponsored placement, and no pay-to-rank.
